Amy Ketteran founded Ketteran Studios as a way to combine her classical and theatrical art training. She received her BA in Studio Art from Grinnell College, and her MFA in Scenic Art from Brandeis University.
Her varied training allows her to work quickly and efficiently, without sacrificing the quality and individuality achieved in studio work. Amy's work includes both murals and floorcloths as well as fine art.
Amy is a member of the International Decorative Artisans League (IDAL) and is a past president of the local chapter, the Greater Maryland Decorative Artisans (GMDA) and the President of the IDAL National Board.
In addition to teaching at her studio, she has also taught and spoken for groups including The IDAL National Convention, the International Furniture and Design Association and The Capital Area Decorative Artisans.
Amy's work can be found in her clients homes and offices as well as HEC and BSO Decorator Showhouses, The House That Faux Built and Gallery 44.
Amy's work has been seen in various publications including: Elan Magazine, Paint Decor, Romantic Homes, The Faux Finisher, The Baltimore Sun and the book "The House That Faux Built."
Amy livesa dn works out of a 100 year old farmhouse in Mount Airy, MD with her husband mark, daughter's Mara and Ellie, and teh ever faithful studio dog, Sasha.
